EXAMPLE ESTIMATE

Your estimate

Enter your values and select Calculate.

Estimates use your assumptions. Calculations use unrounded values; displayed figures are rounded.

HOW IT WORKS

A useful estimate starts with clear inputs.

  1. Step 1

Enter monthly take-home income and a savings target.

  2. Step 2

Add monthly spending by category. Convert annual or irregular expenses to your own monthly estimate.

  3. Step 3

See what remains after expenses and the savings target. Export a copy to review later.

Worked example

With income of 4,000, expenses of 2,800 and a savings target of 400, 800 remains unallocated.

Calculation assumptions and limits

A single-month snapshot of the amounts you enter. The savings target is separate from spending. Debt payments entered here are included as expenses. This does not calculate income tax, connect to a bank, track transactions or decide a suitable budget for you.

Can I use this with my local currency?

Yes. All inputs in one calculation must use the same currency. The currency selector changes number formatting and labels; it does not look up exchange rates or convert your amounts. Local loan rules and products may calculate costs differently.

Are my numbers saved?

No. Your inputs and results stay in this page’s memory. Reloading or leaving clears them. Download the CSV or print the result if you want a copy.

See how monthly spending fits your income

Bring take-home income, regular expenses and a savings target into one view. The planner shows whether the entered numbers leave a surplus or a shortfall for the month.

Use a consistent monthly basis for every amount. For occasional expenses, you can enter a monthly allowance so the plan reflects more than the bills due this week.

How to use this tool

  1. Enter monthly take-home income and a separate savings target.
  2. Add monthly expenses to the listed categories using the same currency.
  3. Calculate and check whether the remainder is positive or a shortfall.

A practical example

With income of 3,000, total expenses of 2,000 and a savings target of 500, the remaining amount is 500. A negative remainder means your planned spending and savings exceed income.

Before you finish

Convert annual or irregular expenses into a monthly allowance yourself. Do not count a savings transfer twice as both an expense and a savings target.

Frequently asked questions

Should I enter gross income or take-home income?

Use the income available after deductions, so the comparison reflects the money you can actually budget.

Does the planner import bank transactions?

No. Enter your own amounts. There is no bank connection or automatic account import.

Will my budget be saved when I leave?

Inputs stay in the current page memory. Export the CSV or print the result if you want a copy before leaving or reloading.
