Start with the application instructions
List each requested file, its accepted format and its maximum size. If a photo is requested, note any exact dimensions or background rules. Requirements differ between employers and application systems, so use the instructions on the actual form.
Keep your original documents in a separate folder. Make a working copy for each application so an edit for one role does not replace the version you need for another.
Check the resume for meaning and accuracy
Read the job description, then check whether your resume clearly explains your relevant experience. The resume keyword tool can highlight selected words or phrases that appear in one text and not the other. Treat that as a prompt to review the wording, not as an ATS score or a prediction of an interview.
Only include skills and experience you can support. Read dates, names, contact details and role-specific statements yourself. A keyword match cannot check whether a sentence is accurate or useful to the reader.
Prepare the photo only if it is requested
Use Upload Check to compare an image with the size, dimensions and format you entered. Then use the image tools to reduce size or change format. Check the exported result again before submitting it.
Use Crop & rotate for an exact shape, then resize or compress the downloaded copy if needed. Inspect the final image at full size to check that important details remain clear.
Keep supporting documents readable
If the form accepts a PDF made from scanned images, Images to PDF can arrange the scans into one document. Put the pages in the requested order and open the downloaded PDF to inspect every page. This tool produces an image-based PDF; it does not make scanned text searchable.
For existing documents, use Merge PDF to combine PDFs or Split PDF to extract the requested pages. For a resume, keep a text-based export from your document editor when the employer asks for one. Use the accepted file type instead of assuming every PDF is suitable.
Make one final pass
- Use clear filenames that identify the document and its owner.
- Open the exact files you plan to attach.
- Use the word counter for short-answer limits, and check how the application form counts them too.
- Check that each file appears in the correct upload field.
- Review the form before selecting Submit and save the confirmation if one is provided.
These checks help you prepare the files. They do not guarantee acceptance by a particular application system or an employer.
